Hey bunnies! Today we’re going to make a raw vegan tropical wakame salad. Sorry I have been gone for the past two weeks. I was remodeling our half bathroom and it was so time-consuming. I’m almost finished with it but I was ready to get back in the kitchen.
This has to be my favorite way to enjoy wakame seaweed. The nama shoyu brings a traditional Asian flavor to the dish. While the coconut vinegar pairs well with the sweetness of the fruit. If you like seaweed this is a must try. This makes a great appetizer for raw vegan sushi! Everything you need is listed below to make raw vegan tropical wakame salad. Enjoy!
Raw Vegan Wakame Salad
1/2 oz wakame seaweed soaked in water for 20 min and drained
1/2 red bell pepper brunoise-cut (diced very tiny)
1/2 cup pineapple brunoise-cut
1/2 cup mango brunoise-cut
1/4 cup nama shoyu
3 tbsp coconut vinegar
2 tsp cold pressed sesame oil
Soak the seaweed in water for 20 minutes and drain.
combine all ingredients in a bowl and toss to combine.
Let marinate for 1 hour. Drain and reserve the liquid for a salad dressing if you wish!
